The Pilates Method was originally created by Joseph Pilates who believed that mental and physical health were essential to one another. He created a series of body conditioning exercises focussing on a strong core with correct alignment and precision of movement. 

 

Pilates strengthens the whole body whilst encouraging good breathing patterns and correcting body alignment of the joints and muscles to keep them healthy. It can be tailored for everyone regardless of age or fitness levels however there are some important fundamentals that need to be learnt to ensure good exercise technique.
